After years of not having a “dental home,” I’m so happy to know I may have just finally found mine. Coming in due to emergency needs, it was overwhelming and scary. But they immediately took me in, didn’t try to upsale me on anything, but genuinely focused on well-rounded, patient-centered care. Dr. Javier, chefs kiss for anyone who needs a high-quality root canal from a skilled expert. He immediately realized my prior root canal was botched with old practice techniques, and had me in and out of there so quick, leaving me with an impeccable result! Dr. Idris is so thorough and explained everything to me regarding my diagnosis and plan! You can tell that she’s truly an expert, not there to rip you off, but genuinely cares about treating what is priority first. It’s very clear her mission is to ensure you have honest dental treatment, focused on what you truly need, and aims for long-term, quality results! A great dentist is one who considers your entire health, shows you the images, breaks down the plans, teaches you and helps you understand the why behind the treatment, and keeps communication direct and clear. Derek is so down to earth; dental care can be costly, overwhelming, and at times even scary… but to talk through the steps and listen to questions about financial aspects of the plan, to hear him ask the providers questions about how we plan on treating and managing all aspects of it, was so helpful and genuine. Spencer - there are two words that instantly come to mind to describe her, and that mean everything to me: compassionate and attentive. Her attention to detail, transparency with communication and how attentive she is to me.. details like nonverbal facial cues and automatically knowing the taste of something bitter made me cringe, she readily noticed and immediately would attend to it. Spencer was always rounding and checking on me, not coming in to talk about herself, but coming in to check on me, as a person, not just a patient. I’m a Registered Nurse that has been in healthcare for many years…I understand when in a vulnerable state, how meaningful those qualities can be. It’s the little things that go a long way, and I hope everyone who walks into this office gets the pleasure of being taken care of by Spencer. Last but not least, my hygienist Fatma was amazing! Her deep cleaning was efficient, precise, and the results have been fantastic. I have never been so excited and looking forward to my next clean! Fatma so effortlessly balances the wholesome patient AND person care. She advised tips on maintenance, never once made me feel judged, was so relatable and easy to talk to. She talks to you about education on dental care but also, talks with you.. getting to know you as a person too. It’s also beautiful to see the woman empowerment in this office. I’ve always been one to brush 3 times a day, floss and thought that was enough.. life’s busy, other health/medical needs take over and it’s easy to neglect, or be hesitant, to visit the dentist as regularly as you should.. but my experience at Preston Modern Dentistry inspired me to prioritize my dental health, and quickly has become a place I feel I can trust for my dental care/needs.
